I know I say this a lot. Please Mom’s be present in photographs – by yourself and Mommy daughter (or son) photos! Please don’t stress about how you look or how much weight you’ve gained. Please just be there. You don’t have to post them to social media, just take them. Make sure they exist – that you exist in photographs. Get in those photos with your daughter or son. Take those weird Mommy daughter selfies! Just get in the photo. Do it for them. Every time you think you don’t want to have your picture taken try to remember that it’s not for you, it’s for them! (I’ll harp later… Keep Reading

This is the first big play and first musical we have been a part of as a family. How lucky we were to work with such amazing people! It has been incredible to watch them work and grow and build this show in a relatively short period of time. The amount of work put into it and into the children is incredible and inspiring! We were honored to help the kids and a few of the adults with some new headshots. Check out Broadway Upstate’s website here. I can’t wait to see this cast in action at the Wood Theater here in Glens Falls, NY. You can check out show… Keep Reading
This boy holds a special place in my heart because his Mamma is so special to us. I was a new Mom, sending my oldest baby away to school for the first time. Everything was new for me. New school. New Teachers. New do’s and don’ts. I wasn’t too worried about my son with his outgoing personality but I was worried about me! A few particular teachers made all the difference. They loved him, taught him, and nurtured him. This Mamma is one of those who just helped me know that he was in good hands and put my mind to rest and eased my heart. It’s been a delight… Keep Reading
I had the privilege of accompanying these guys on a shoot just for 1 t-shirt. Why would we do an entire photo shoot just for one T? Well partly because it’s an incredible design but mostly because it’s an incredible cause. Rick and Lois at One on 1 Design have outdone themselves again. (If you haven’t seen their other charitable designs make sure and check them out here)! Rick says: “I designed ‘SUPPORT’ to help our brave and dedicated American soldiers in some way, but ‘how’ was my questions. What organization do I donate to? How can I help? Will it really make a difference? Then the answer: my veteran friend… Keep Reading
Brayton Photography baby turns 2. This is a lifestyle session in his home showing a freezing of time of what life was like when he was 2.
Let’s talk about body image. I just started working out at the gym. I’m a people watcher. There are so many people at a gym of all sorts of shapes, sizes, ages, hair color, etc. I want to ask each and every one of them…”What’s your story?” I restrain myself. I love meeting new people but I try not to be a creeper. bwahahah! I sincerely want to know. What got them there? What drives them? Was there a rock bottom and the gym is helping them crawl out? Are they temporary? Are they a gym rat? Do you love the workouts? Do you do it for your children? For… Keep Reading
Hazel viewing Lake George during the 2016 Lake George, NY Winter Carnival I think I know that the most important thing I can do is raise my children. I think I know that the time will fly by and I will miss it. I think I know that I just have to try my best and it’ll work out. But some days I don’t know it at all. Some days are just really hard. Some days my perfectly imperfect life I try to love and smile about just seems too much too handle. Some days I want to wake up and be glamorous and go out and conquer the world…. Keep Reading
We’ve been a little quiet over here because my Mom surprised me all the way from Alaska! One of the things I love most about photography and small business ownership is the people I meet. We all have a story to tell. It’s an honor when stories are shared with us and an even greater honor when we can help to tell a photographic version of that story. When your personal trainer changes your life so dramatically he becomes family. That’s what happened here. Jon Mabb from Primal Movements worked wonders for Robert. But I can tell, from the short time I spent with him, that Robert has the heart… Keep Reading
