We always encourage high school seniors to bring a friend to their custom photography session. It often helps them to relax and enjoy the experience a little more. In this case it was a sister best friend! One of the things that we do is help our clients to choose the outfits that will photograph well, make the feel the best, and of course, be the most flattering and fun. Bonus with Carol and Claire is there closet is interchangeable! After selecting several outfits for each girl we headed into Charleston to the beach. We of course had to get in some shots of both girls separately and together. In this “Not quite High School Senior Photography Session” we were able to capture a little of this girl and her HUGE personality. Claire is beautiful and kind. She is the youngest and full of spunk and never ending personality. We can’t wait until it’s her turn for her Custom Senior Photography Session!
There’s a lot more black and white in this High School Senior Photo Session then you usually see. There’s plenty of color too I promise! This sneak peek I just couldn’t resist these black and whites because B&W and freckles make me swoon. We combined this Berkeley High School Senior’s love of the beach and pretty dresses with her love for soccer. She is a fierce soccer player with a heart of gold. Even when I heard her telling stories of something that had gone wrong or something bad that had happened she always told it with a kind, positive perspective. This incredible woman is going to change the world just by being a part of it and we are so lucky she is! I can’t wait to see what the next few years hold for her!
This Sister Photography Session over spring break was so much fun! Not only did we get to go to the beach at sunset but we also got to walk around and shoot in downtown Charleston, SC at night. Claire and her sister are best friends. I was around them a lot during spring break. I had to ask their mom if they ever fought. The response was, “occasionally over clothes but not really.” Wow! They are so lucky to have each other! It was such a pleasure to capture this moment in their lives. Before long they will both be off at college and things will change. They will always be sisters and best friends but it will be different. Not bad or good but different. It is so important to capture the now so that we will never forget. Although in the moment it’s hard to imagine forgetting, time dulls those incredible moments unless they are captured in a photograph.
As a talented budding photographer D wanted to give a photoshoot to her Dad for Father’s Day. They chose to have their Daddy Daughter session in the fall to catch the colors. Boy did they choose the perfect day! We met at Saratoga Spa State park in Saratoga Springs, NY on a weekday afternoon. Did I mention they couldn’t have chosen a more perfect day? Perfect colors! Perfect Fall light! Perfect temp! We just walked and talked about life and photography. I love just watching a parent and child interact and laugh together. I have been photographing this beautiful person since she was just a little girl. Now look at her! She is kind, smart, and so much fun! What a joy it is to watch her grow! Perfect young teen make-up done by the amazing Crystal Gardner (D’s Mom!). Love how it gave her a gorgeous pop of color but was just the right amount for her age. Amazing as always Crystal!
We are so blessed to have so many amazing schools in this area. With that comes MULTIPLE proms every weekend! Here’s our kick-off for an Adirondack school and students from a couple different schools including Fort Ann and Warrensburg. Have fun at these Proms everyone and PLEASE stay safe!
Images of U Photography is the owner of a new baby! When we talk baby, we mean a new (to us) camera! I can’t even believe I didn’t upgrade sooner! I have so many things planned that I can now do with the greater capabilities of this camera. The weather was INCREDIBLE this evening so before we got in the car and went home from my in-laws farm the kids and I played with our new baby! The kids wanted to take pictures which was a little tricky because of the weight of the camera and lense but we just had fun with it and they did amazing! Enjoy the following craziness. I might have gone a bit overboard editing these pictures!
We did a gorgeous Illuminate U shoot this week. I am so unbelievably excited about the results. Here’s one I’ve been playing with. Can’t wait to show more. This quote just about sums up everything I’m shooting for (pun intended) with my Glamour sessions. I want women to feel empowered. I want them to see the true beauty they have. I want them to love being photographed and not fear it. I want to find the beauty within each amazing woman. I will be looking for more models for some big shoots coming up so stay tuned!
